MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
Positive Motion is the only practice in the ACT where the whole team are accredited lymphoedema therapists.
Our occupational therapists and physiotherapists may manage your case, whilst our accredited lymphatic massage therapists can further assist with massage therapy.
We enhance our drainage with the use of the Lymphatouch, Endermologie and pneumatic compression pump therapy.
Our therapists will tailor a treatment plan to suit your needs.
COMPRESSION GARMENT PRESCRIPTION & SALES
We can directly supply a range of ready-to-wear compression garments, wraps and night garments for arms and legs. And a range of donning and doffing aids.
Our therapists are highly trained in the prescription and measurement of custom-made garments and more specialised products. Whatever you need, we can supply!
Vanya is our Second Skin expert, so she can help you out with zippers and tabs or specialised garments to facilitate easier donning and doffing.
We can prescribe and directly prescribe compression garments to suit your needs. We also can measure up for custom garments. Including complex custom garments. We can also provide services to DVA, NDIS and aged care patients, and we are accredited to prescribe garments through state-based equipment schemes.
LOW-LEVEL LASER & COMPRESSION PUMP THERAPY
A growing body of evidence-based literature supports the use of low-level laser therapy for wound healing, pain relief, improving tissue health and stimulating circulation.
We have a range of pumps for patients to experience, and we can also facilitate device rental or purchase as needed.
KINESIOTAPING
Kinesiotaping, or lymphatic taping, can be used to assist with lymphatic drainage at the surface layers of the skin.
Complex Physical Therapy and Bandaging
For those clients who may need more intensive management of their lymphoedema (or associated oedema), we are able to provide Complex Physical Therapy (CPT).
Our highly skilled therapists can provide bandaging treatments with reusable or disposable bandaging products.
