Liz Charlton
  • Liz Charlton

    Liz started Positive Motion Physiotherapy and Allied Health Services in 2007 to provide services to patients requiring oncology, lymphoedema and lipoedema management. Liz is passionate about providing a holistic approach to recovery. She has a particular interest in exercise prescription and has developed an evidence-based exercise program which is now available at the Clinic. Liz is also excited to have the depth and breadth of team to provide comprehensive services to patients in the ACT region.


    Liz completed her physiotherapy qualification at the University of Queensland. She then completed Level 1 Lymphoedema training in Sydney and gained further experience working at Calvary Hospital’s Lymphoedema Service (Calvary Health Care ACT), working closely with surgeons, oncologists and Breast Care Nurses (ACT Health) to provide integrated care for patients with lymphoedema. She is passionate about providing holistic care to assist clients to maintain independence through a healthy lifestyle. She was involved in the development of an evidence-based weights-training class designed to improve function and quality of life for those who are at risk of, or those who have developed upper limb lymphoedema (Cornie, P, Pumpa, K., Galvao, A., Turner, E. et al., Journal of Cancer Survivorship vol. 7 (2), June 2013). She is fortunate to be able to combine skills as a musculoskeletal and lymphoedema physiotherapist to assist patients to return to, and/or maintain, optimal function. Liz is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, in addition to the Australian Lymphology Association (ALA), and is registered with the National Lymphoedema Practitioners’ Register (NLPR). Liz has also completed her PINC and STEEL certification.

Fleur Balmain

    Fleur Balmain is a masters physiotherapist, a business owner and manager and a clinical educator who prides herself in knowing a variety of techniques to manage the range of different spinal conditions that present in the community. She believes in enabling the patient to have the power to control the symptoms of back or neck pain through education and thorough examination to guarantee the most appropriate course of management. I promise an understandable explanation of symptoms, even when the diagnosis seems vague

Heidi Norris
  • Heidi Norris

    Heidi Norris is an occupational therapist with 25 years experience working in acute medical, surgical and oncology rehabilitation. She is excited to join the Positive Motion team in 2026 to assist patients directly with oncology rehab, lymphoedema management, vascular oedema and scar management. 

    She graduated from University of Queensland in 2000 (Hons 1st Class, Hand Burns Management) and then worked in a variety of clinical settings across Australia and the USA. Until joining the Positive Motion team, Heidi worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist and Allied Health Lead at The Canberra Hospital, primarily on the oncology wards.  

    Heidi is passionate about holistic, patient centred care and providing services to improve not only her client's oedema, but their functional capacity, independence, confidence and overall wellbeing.


Bryan Villeza
  • Bryan Villeza

    Bryan is a physiotherapist with a special interest in lymphoedema and oncology care. He completed his undergraduate Physiotherapy degree at Angeles University Foundation in the Philippines and joined the Positive Motion team in 2024 and has since completed Level 1 certification in lymphoedema management at the ALERT Centre at Macquarie University in Sydney. He is an ALA-registered lymphatic therapist.

    Bryan also enjoys offering a home visit service to patients who require in-home care. 

    He enjoys supporting patients through cancer treatment and recovery, helping people manage lymphatic conditions so they can move more comfortably and confidently in everyday life. Outside the clinic, Bryan trains for and runs marathons, which helps him bring a strong understanding of movement, endurance, and recovery into his physiotherapy care. 

Gemma Bartlett
  • Gemma Bartlett

    Gemma is an experienced occupational therapist who has worked in the Positive Motion team since 2018. Having undergone her own personal journey with breast cancer, and subsequently lymphoedema, Gemma has come to appreciate the benefit of holistic allied health support. She has developed a passion for working with others undergoing their own cancer ‘journey,’ aiming to facilitate recovery and support a return to their best. Gemma completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at James Cook University in 2009. She is an accredited PINC therapist and has her Level 1 Lymphoedema certification at the ALERT Centre at Macquarie University. Gemma believes that through self-care, fun and funky compression garments and tailored exercise programs, it is possible to manage lymphatic dysfunction with style! She even presented her ‘self-care’ wrap at the 2025 Lipoedema Conference. Gemma aims to bring an element of light and laughter to the treatment team at Positive Motion Physiotherapy is committed to providing a high level of evidence-based patient care.

Jai Stevens
  • Jai Stevens

    Jai’s background, by training, is soft tissue remedial massage therapy and more recently she has become a qualified allied health assistant. She joined the Positive Motion team with an intense interest in lymphoedema management is now able to offer specialised and supportive care with a clinical focus on lipoedema, lymphoedema, and oncology management. Having also worked in the public service for 20 years, she possesses a deep, empathetic understanding of the unique pressures and stresses that can impact many client's health. Jai enhances her remedial and sports massage treatments with advanced modalities such as dry needling, vacuum cupping, and assisted stretching.  She is also now excited to offer treatments at Positive Motion that include compression pump, Lymphatouch, laser therapy and Endermologie. Jai works closely with the allied health professionals in the team to implement a holistic treatment plan.

Georgia Tsavalas
  • Georgia Tsavalas

    Georgia trained as a massage therapist and is also able to apply advanced skills including dry needling. As she learned more about lymphoedema and lipoedema management during her massage therapy practice, she became passionate about providing best practice lymphoedema management. She completed her advanced lymphoedema training with the Australian Institute of Lymphoedema, and has been applying enhanced lymphoedema skills with the Positive Motion team since 2024. She is an experienced lymphatic massage therapist who is looking to develop her skills further into garment prescription and bandaging. Her passionate nature is quite infectious to her patients and the staff alike. Georgia also works closely with the allied health professionals in the team to implement a holistic treatment plan.


    Georgia also assists with our home visits.


Vanya Anderson
  • Vanya Anderson

    Vanya is the newest member of the oncology/lymph team but first worked with Liz at Positive Motion right back in 2011. She is an experienced occupational therapist and has worked extensively in the area of burns and scar management. She has been able to apply these advanced skills, including complex garment prescription, to the area of oncology and lymphoedema management.


    Vanya is our scar queen! If you have a complex scar, she will assist you to manage it with the most up-to-date knowledge available. We are able to supply scar management products (silicone) and creams to assist you with your healing journey.


Tara Lambeth
  • Tara Lambeth

    Tara trained as an occupational therapist in New Zealand and has become an experienced therapist within the oncology/lymph team. She has also developed an interest in managing lipoedema. With a background in personal training, Tara uses her knowledge and experience in exercise rehabilitation to help manage our Strength After Breast Cancer classes. She is a very versatile member of the team and can cater for a range of patient needs.

Madeleine Walker
  • Madeleine Walker

    Madeleine completed her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2009 and has since worked extensively in the NSW and ACT health systems. Madeleine is a hands-on physiotherapist who has completed APPI Pilates Matwork courses (Levels 1, 2 & 3), and frequently applies her extensive knowledge of Pilates techniques to the recovery from and prevention of injuries.

    Katie graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She has an intense interest in sports and is working with the Canberra Raiders female squad in 2025.

    Aaron graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He is a also a qualified personal trainer, working for 7 years before returning to study to become a physio. He is passionate about impacting peoples lives through improving condition and solving problems. As a mixed martial arts enthusiast he has a particular interest in keeping people flexible and strong. 

Lea McKaskill

    An ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist and a Fitness Australia registered Certificate 4 personal trainer.  With over 30 years in the health and fitness industry, Lea specialises in exercise prescription for chronic disease and health conditions. She also enjoys working with patients with specific injury prevention and management needs and with those who just need physical conditioning. Her aim is to enhance motivation, positivity and overall conditioning of the body.

Chapman Ng

    Chapman is the newest team member to Kingston physio and Positive Motion Tuggeranong with an expansive experience in sports therapy, exercise planning and progression and on site care. Chapman has both a masters degree in physiotherapy as well as BSocSc (Hons) in Sports and Recreation Management.

    He is also a highly skilled and passionate Basket ball player with sports trainer experience for both on site cricket and football

    Hilary initially gained Cert IV in Remedial Massage in 2002, which she then followed with a Diploma specialising in Sports Massage in 2006. Hilary is very enthusiastic about assisting people with massage to aid recovery, post-injury rehabilitation, pain relief and stress-related muscular tension.
